Our Work
Since 2019, The Boon Project has worked alongside rural communities in Uganda to build self-sustaining solutions that equip people with the tools to lift themselves out of poverty for good.

We focus on more than agricultural production—we focus on building complete pathways to opportunity. This includes increasing household income through farming, empowering women and engaging youth, creating businesses and entrepreneurs, and diversifying agricultural outputs to bring greater value to the community.

Through hands-on programs, we have:

-
trained coffee farmers in good agricultural practices (GAP) and provided tools and support
-
launched women-led mushroom cultivation programs across Bugiri, Gulu, and Iganga
-
established home garden initiatives to improve nutrition through diverse crops like leafy greens and passion fruit
-
partnered with a babies home to support vulnerable women through garden training and food production
-
launched the Judith Project to equip vulnerable mothers with sustainable food and income solutions
-
helped form a multi-purpose cooperative in Eastern Uganda
-
developed local volunteer oversight networks within village ecosystems
-
provided Bibles and shared the Gospel as part of walking alongside communities in faith
-
connected communities with local government resources
-
and initiated early-stage education with government partners on industrial hemp through our Hemp4Hope initiative in partnership with Global Industrial Hemp Solutions
